1963 Chevy Nova II question?

Should I repair the steering column, and shift linkage (2-speed powerglide), or replace it with a custom new column.
The turn signal switch, horn switch are bad, and now steering shaft noise, when turning, stiff shift and high effort to place in and out of Park.
What should I expect an estimate to rerair / rebuild a steering column.

You are right, Chevy II Nova!!

I would replace it with a Flaming River or an Ididit column. But don’t throw out the original. You never know when you might sell to a purist who wants to restore it stock.

Ididit has one specifically designed for your car.

As for cost, do it yourself. It’ll connect you with your car. It’ll cost a fortune to have a qualified tech do it for you.

BTW, it’s a Chevy II Nova, not a Chevy Nova II.

Thanks!

Certainly, they changed around 1966, instead of having straight or horizontal sides, to having the popular Mustang- inspired hump at the rear side windows, adopted by the 1965 Impala/Caprice and later the first Camaro in 1967. Earliest Novas resmbled a straight Ford Falcon. These newer Novas also had nice little rectangular fins, reminiscent of Chevy’s past.

Will a sub frame under a 1988 camaro fit on a 1963 chevy 2 nova?

Hey.
Those frames aren’t even close.
I cant give you much more info without more details about your Nova’s frame and why you want to swap it.

1963 chevy nova will not start after car power went out while driving. battery good, no lights to dash?

Replaced volt regulator, resistor, its a new motor, battery, cables

Just a guess: maybe you burned a fusable link. You have to refer to a chilton’s manual for locations in the wire harness, or scan the harness thoroughly for places where the tape looks burned, or has suspicious looking lumps. GOOD LUCK!!
