1963 Chevy Nova II question?
June 32010
Should I repair the steering column, and shift linkage (2-speed powerglide), or replace it with a custom new column.
The turn signal switch, horn switch are bad, and now steering shaft noise, when turning, stiff shift and high effort to place in and out of Park.
What should I expect an estimate to rerair / rebuild a steering column.
You are right, Chevy II Nova!!
I would replace it with a Flaming River or an Ididit column. But don’t throw out the original. You never know when you might sell to a purist who wants to restore it stock.
Ididit has one specifically designed for your car.
As for cost, do it yourself. It’ll connect you with your car. It’ll cost a fortune to have a qualified tech do it for you.
BTW, it’s a Chevy II Nova, not a Chevy Nova II.
http://www.classicindustries.com The Overhaulin’ crew transforms a rusted old nova into a young mans dream car in just a week with the help of the Classic Industries crew. Chip Foose designs a complete overhaul of this classic nova, and the crew gets busy taking it apart and putting it back together again.
Sweet Ride !
