Sweet New Cars
June 202010
Reaching for younger customers, Cadillac introduces the Catera a sporty, small-ish (by Cadillac standards) luxury car with dimensions similar to those on the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Lexus GS300. The Catera is based entirely on the Opel Omega, which was introduced in Europe in 1994. And to further complicate its origin the Catera’s engine is the same 3.0-liter V6 found in the Saab 9000. In U.S.-spec Catera form, this engine makes 200 hp and 192 pound-feet of torque.
Realizing the importance of having a sport-utility vehicle in showrooms, Mercedes-Benz introduces the AAV, or “All-Activity Vehicle.” Available with either a V-6 or V-8, the AAV is scheduled for debut in fall. Do you need to compare car insurance quotes? Do it today.
